Teach-Meets are informal, collaborative experiences where teachers share ideas and experiences and support each other in their teaching practice. Everyone is welcome and every community language teacher is a potential presenter.
As we continue to practice social distancing, many CLSs are connecting with their communities and continuing to teach their students online. You may be feeling nervous and overwhelmed about teaching online and have many questions, such as:
What does online teaching look like?
Where do I start?
What software and Apps should I use?
How do I keep students actively engaged and included?
To help answers some of your questions, the CLSP would like to invite you to join a series of Teach-Meets hosted by the Association of Illawarra Community Languages Schools.
At the following Teach-Meets, community language teachers who have already begun teaching online will share their experiences and suggestions for teaching languages online.
Tuesday 7th April 2.00 pm
Wednesday 8th April 10.30 am
